The best banana plug I've used so far.
Anyone having used banana plugs for speaker connections know the convenience it brings to the table while maintaining a secure connection and protecting the bare wire, it also makes it easy to move or upgrade speakers/receivers/amps without much hassle. Simple plug and play once the wires are terminated with banana plugs.I've used monoprice closed screw type banana plugs from the get go, while they offer good connection using it with a 12 awg speaker cable (I've used 12awg monoprice speaker cables for my entire installation including a 300ft run of Amazon basic 12awg speaker cable too) could be a little tedious especially if the speaker wire strands get in between the threadings of the banana plug, which they inevitably do get in between unless your made the perfect cut.The FosPower banana plugs were a pleasure to use. They made installation a breeze.. strip the wires to length insert them into the plugs, secure them with the two screws, which I tightened fairly tight without issues, insert the color coded covers and your done. These banana plugs are extra tight to get into the binding posts of the speakers and receiver and I don't see that as a negative point but as a positive one as they give you the confidence of a very good and secure connection.I did find a few monoprice banana plugs fit slightly loose and I had to wedge the plugs a bit to get it to fit securely.

these are pretty nice banana plugs
For the price, these are pretty nice banana plugs. They fit (tightly) into pretty much everything, and the screw-clamp design seems rather well thought out and works well. They are attractive too (true to photo). I kind of wish there was a 4.5 star option though, because for everything else that these do well, there are two issues that bug me (that have nothing at all to do with their actual functionality). First, they look like beautifully machined billet aluminum, but the shells are quite thin and light, so they "feel" cheaply made even though they aren't. That's just a psychological disconnect. The other issue is that the sleeve goes past the end of the plug a bit more than I'd like it to. This might be a manufacturing decision, it might be some kind of strain relief, but it seems odd and makes the plug a little longer (like 1/8") than it needs to be. But this is nit-picking... overall, a fantastic banana plug.Sure, there are other more exotic plugs that don't have these minor issues, but you'll be spending at least double on them, and it won't sound any better.

Superior Design!
Delivery was lightning fast.I tried a pack of two pairs of these banana jacks as a sample to see if these would meet my needs. The design of these plugs is superior. The design was exactly what I wanted because the speaker wire is secured with TWO set screws. Then I ordered an additional six pairs of plugs to hook up my subwoofer to my amp and speakers.(I feed the audio output from the amp to the sub. The sub has a crossover that keeps the low frequencies and sends the mid and treble frequencies to my bookshelf speakers.)I love the security of two set screws on each plug and love the barrel that screws on AFTER the wire is secured by the set screws. Most banana plugs have a hole through the shaft of the plug that receives the stripped wire. Then the barrel cover is screwed down to secure the wire in the plug. This design compresses the speaker wire but eventually the cap loses it grip and allows the connection between the wire and the plug to become loose. Then the transfer of the audio signal becomes poor and the speakers sound bad. Every month or two I needed to check all the banana plugs and re-tighten many of them for the best performance. The two set screws eliminate this problem. The set screws are quite small and take a little extra care in installation. You will need a small flat blade screwdriver to tighten them. I used the 1/8" flat blade driver from a set of jewelers screwdrivers. These well made plugs are a bit pricier that many of the banana plugs available but certainly not the priciest plugs available. For me, the slightly higher price was more than offset by the security of the wire within the plug.I'm not thrilled with the extra tight fit of the tip on the plugs into the jacks. It took a lot of effort to insert the in the jack. Actually I "greased" the pins (very sparingly) with with non-corrosion, conductive paste (Ox-Gard, No-Corrode, etc. Do NOT use any other grease.) Next time I'll use pliers to compress the pin.My only quibbles are that the spring pins that go into the jack are very tight and that the plugs are only sold in quantities of two pairs or 12 pairs.I recommend these banana plugs for all who are using the banana plugs and jacks for hooking up your speakers. It's a very convenient way of connecting speakers if your speakers and amplifier have the banana jack as part of the binding post. Further, it's much safer to use banana plugs since the possibility of shorting your amplifier with a stray strand of wire is practically zero. Easy Five Stars.

Well built and design
Great plugs! The set screws are durable and well designed. No stripped screws in the set, which I have experienced from other brands before. Having two set screws with each plug allows you to securely attach the bare wire as well as secure the insulated portion of the cable and provides putting any tension strain on the insulated jacket. Only issue I had and initially had me concerned was that I could not plug these into the wall plate or even the amp. For a brief minute I thought that maybe this was a non standard size banana plug, but they are not. The initial plug in is very stiff and does require some pressure. I was worried that I would end up pushing too hard and breaking the amp binding/banana plug post. Once plugged in and removed, they go in easily. In short, they are just really stiff but this is a good thing as I have other banana plugs in the past that are loose to the fit and the connection falls out. I recommend these and the price for them is excellent.

Very good but watch the screws!
These are the first banana plugs I have ever used so it was a learning curve for me.At first I was disappointed to see the speaker cable appeared to be held into the plug by a single small screw but proceeded anyway and they seemed to hold ok. It was only when I was half way through the 14 cables that I realised my error! The sheath on the plug was hiding the 2nd screw! So I had to go back and re-do the ones I had already wired. This time I did it properly and fed in the cable fully and tightened both screws. Well it was the first time I had used them like I said! Anyway, the end result is a very neat row of plugs in the back of my amp and I have ordered more for the speakers. The plugs themselves are a decent weight and well made. You fully unscrew the sheath to expose the 2 small screws (which are small and easy to lose so be careful) fit the wire, tighten the screws and the sheath and job done. I would certainly buy them again.

Great product, secure connection, works perfectly
I don’t usually write reviews - however I’m very pleased with this product, and how simple the installation wasI had my wires wrapped around the binding posts for months, and that was fine until I wanted to move the amplifier - not a chance! So when I recently installed surround speakers I decided to get the plugs so that all of my inputs were removableThe sound is neither better nor worse (I suppose that’s the idea) and whilst it took me a while to install them, that’s because I had to chop off the twisted ends from the binding posts and bare new clean wire. The grip on the wire is great, and the strain reliever is an added bonus. If I had to pick faults:There is a gap around the edge of the plus where the cable exits, it doesn’t look particularly professional. I suppose one could stick a screwdriver or similar up the end and possibly damage the connection - not sure how that would happen though! The part of the plug screw-on cover which dictates the +/- colour is only a small line of branding text. I like the uniform colours so they don’t look like cheap red/white phono inputs, but it may be difficult to spot when the cables aren’t plugged in.I bought the 12 pairs pack, only needed 7, but they’re probably going to be used on other aspects of my AV set up. Great value either way

Great Banana Plugs - If they fit
I bought these banana plugs to connect my speakers to my new ONKYO AV Receiver. The plugs were well made and had two wire retaining screws. However they were too big to fit into the holes in the back of the ONKYO speaker terminals. It seems that the majority of AV Receivers and hardware made for the EU do not fit standard banana sockets as we “Europeans” might use these standard banana plugs to plug into the electrical mains sockets. This may apply in Europe where they have round mains sockets but not in the UK where we have flat pin mains sockets. Consequently I was unable to use these plugs and test them. However the Americans have done a good job of manufacturing them – If you have the bigger banana sockets on your equipment these should work well, but if you have been restricted by the EU specification sockets don’t bother – isn’t it about time we left the EU!

Two piece construction
Like a previous order I had for banana plugs, these are made from two pieces, the central pin carrying the signal, surrounded by a "barrel" shaped sleeve meant to provide a tight fit into the speaker socket. Unfortunately, the pin and the sleeve are only in fairly loose "touch" contact. The sleeve can be easily rotated around the pin, this, in my opinion imposes a break in the signal path. The audio signal needs to be as direct and unimpeded as possible. Consider the situation from the viewpoint of the ELECTRONS that constitute the audio signal. When these electrons reach the gap that exists between the central pin (to which the signal wire is bonded), and the barrel shaped sleeve which is in only "touch" contact with the central pin, the electrons are confronted with gap, or junction, which they have to cross. This break in the continuity of the signal path must result in some degradation of the audio signal.

decent quality
i have owned many hifi systems over the years and the 4mm banana plug is a great invention [i know that they have been available for many years ..but they were so much more expensive back in the 1980s .i am happy with my purchase but please remember that you will only be able to use 4mm cable [max] otherwise if you use 6mm it wont fit as the plugs wont be able to take anything bigger than a 4 mm cable [i have seen some people chop wire from the cable just to fit the cable in the plug ..as a retired electrician i can tell you that your cable is only as good as the thinnest piece that you use in your hi-fi system so if you have wired all your speakers in 6mm high-end speaker cable then use 4 mm banana plugs the fact that ypou will have to chop off 2 mm from all your cables so they fit means that you might have well used 4 mm cable to wire your system and save yourself a few quid [you can get 6 mm plugs but they expensive

Very good in all respects
Excellent quality all-metal banana plugs which will make a firm connection for your speaker cables. Quite a degree of pressure is required to insert the posts into the sockets in your speaker terminals, but they do fit! I have similar plugs of a different brand which have the exterior screw-on part in plastic. They work just as well, but there is a certain pleasure in handling these FosPower plugs as they exude quality.I found it easy to adjust the screws to allow cable entry and fixing, and the way the plugs slide into place is reassuring.I wish my receiver had the facility to take these plugs rather than bare wires. No hesitation in making a strong recommendation for these.

A Superb Quality Product and Easy To Fit.
Excellent product both in quality, design and ease of assembly. Unscrew outer thimble and push through the gold plated jack plug to reveal both of the securing screws. I stripped back about 15mm of speaker insulation cable to expose the wires, then folded the wires half way back to double their thickness. Push the cable into the quality gold plated jack plug and secure the doubled wire strands with the inner screw and then clamp up the outer insulation of the cable with the outer screw. Push the collar back over the jack plug and screw both the collar and jack plug back together. Check that you have fitted the "red" marked Fospower jack plug to the positive wire and the white to the negative wire. The positive wire normally has repetitive writing on the lead at regular intervals. Always observe the polarity when plugging in. Your finished work will look really smart and the plug is a wonderful tight and secure fit in the equipment.

FosPower Banana Plugs 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, 24K Gold Plated Dual Screws
Pros:-Excellent, robust quality.Good value.Gold contacts.Good, tight fit - so not easily pulled out.Dual grub-screw fitting - one screw for the cable, the other as a strain relief for the cable/insulator.End-exit for the cable - reduces strain on the cable.Fast delivery (Prime).Cons (and suggestions for improvement):-1) All metal - connections could easily be shorted - so don't make adjustments when power is 'ON'.This could be avoided by sheathing the barrel of the plug in an insulating sleeve which could be colour coded to help with point 2) below.2) The colour coding (Red - positive and White - negative) occupies very little of the plug surface and can be very difficult to see behind the equipment. More positive colouring would help identifying polarity.3) End-exit for the cable - so plugs cannot be piggy-backed. But I am sure that anyone wanting to piggy-back could fabricate a solution...

Quality products
I had spent years wiring the cables into the screws manually and I justified the pain by telling myself I don't do it very frequently. However, recently, after having to rewire the sub again, and spending too long hunched underneath the console, I thought enough is enough and brought this pack.I wish I'd brought them a lot sooner, they're very high quality, and extremely easy to wire, and now I can unplug and plug in cables whenever I want with ease.A great investment.

Definitely worth the price of admission.
Nice design and all elements arrived in tip-top condition and work fantastically with my A/V setup. I’m a bit of an audiophile and while I can’t say that they have improved my setup, they definitely haven’t worsened it and with the added connectivity it’s made cleaning my amplifier a simple job compared to hardwiring.

Not for power.
This is a really handy little amp, which does give as good a sound as you put in. For the kitchen/bathroom - to give the ability to add 'proper' speakers for a broader range of sound - it works really well. Plug in an 'Alexa', or similar digital radio source (Pure is REALLY good), and you're away. I tried it with my old Roberts radio - which is actually powerful enough to just stick the speakers straight in there - but this amp, and the power supply really badly affects the radio reception - so, for old school radio, it's a no-no. Modern digital only. The amp won't raise the roof if a footstompingly good track comes on, but you can wiggle your bum. :-)

Very nice plugs - compact
Very nice plugs - compact, beautifully finished and tight fit in sockets. However, one grubscrew rotates in the socket and won't tighten, and on another plug the screw is actually in the barrel of the plug & I can't get it out to insert it properly.

High quality plugs
These connectors are great, I originally bought 12 but then went back and bout 24 to replace all the connectors on my HIFI system, The connectors are gold, so carry great excellent and from an appearance point of view, once connected to the wire, they look so much more pleasing to the eye. Why spend thousands on a music system to scrimp on the connections makes no sense, so buy these and you won't be disappointed. Really Great!

NO 'SLIP UPS' With these Bananas.
Easy really form fit as design perfect. I use really heavy OFC Cables and these gave a confidently firm fit . Ease of use so evident with instant Amp/Speaker connection changes when necessary. Sound Quality? Yes a positive change though only apparent after some varied listening. These plugs are excellent in Mi-Fi systems have yet to own a £10,000 Hi-Fi. but if I ever get one will use these n let you know. Cheers. Karl

Great connectors, slightly flawed design
I thought these were a great idea, the connections are very sound and that side is good. They look good too. The problem I have found is the outer ferules keep unscrewing and falling off in transit, so now I am missing some, and so sorting out the polarisation of the cables needs to be sorted a different way - would end up tacking or gluing the ferules to keep them in place, also the ferule colour markings Red and Grey are not easy to see in poor light (not good on a stage).
