Good for aggressive chewers
I have a year-old golden retriever who is a very VERY aggressive chewer & I’m constantly on the hunt for bones & chews that will last more than 2 minutes. I also worry because some chews, she will end up swallowing in large chunks, so I need options that she HAS to work on to break apart & chew before swallowing. These cow tails are a great option. While not as long lasting as most bones, this keeps her busy past the two minute mark 😊. The packaging has a rating scale for light, medium, hard & power chewers, and rates these good for medium chewers. If my power chewer doesn’t inhale them immediately, then I would guess a medium chewer could really make one of these last. I am interested in trying other Barkworthies products in the future & would recommend these cowtails to anyone looking for a good dog chew.

Good but.....
Cow tails are a great treat for my dog. She loves them and they are a great alternative to raw hide. The only reason for the poor review is I’ve bought these twice. Both times they came with less than 12 pieces, which is what stated in the description. The first order came with 9 pieces and the second came with 5.

The pup loves these
I had to ask the dog what he thought about the taste and smell. He said that they are great, and since the smell doesn't bother Mom, he's ok with it too. They last quite awhile. He chews them for an hour or so, then he hides them in his bed, or toy box, and will dig out the stump later on to chew some more. That's the puppy who is nine months old. The older dog wouldn't touch them with the puppy's teeth. He turns his nose up and walks away. He likes the chicken wraps for treats and that's all.

Not the same ones I’ve gotten before
My puppies love these! But the ones in the stores have been thinner and darker than normal, so I don’t get them. I took a risk buying it online on Amazon. It was exactly the same as the ones I had seen in the stores, skinnier, darker, and this one had hair still on it.I gave it to my puppy and she chewed on it, and ate one of the small bones. I took it away from her and threw it in the trash, not wanting to risk her eating any more of the bones. With the ones I have gotten in the past, she spits the bone part out, so I was not going to risk it.Went to another site and with another company to get the light ones and thick ones that they like, even though they are shorter.

My picky eater dog loves these
Little pricey, but my dog really likes these. We give him one every night and he actually eats them (which is a first). He's kind of picky and doesn't really like rawhides or bones/hooves, so I was at a loss for a while because I didn't know what else to get him. He seems to love these, though! I haven't had any issues with them breaking apart and choking him and they don't smell sour like others do. I'm pretty happy with these!

Big, stinky, and distracting (all good things)!
I probably buy one of these every other week. These are incredibly stinky so buyer beware, but my puppy loves this thing so much I can't say no to her. This thing is typically huge too, so keep that in mind; I think none of the one's I've purchased has been under 12" in length or 1" in diameter. I only bring up the size because YOU MUST WATCH YOUR DOG when you feed the tail to him/her. I have a corgi, so the bone is practically as big as her, but once she gets this thing in her jowls, she doesn't give it up until it's gone. The problem with that is: it will make your dog sick if they eat it all at once. I relate it to eating a full bag of Doritos in one sitting, you want to do it, but if you do you will get sick. I like to feed her the bone 1/3 at a time.

Tuff Tails!!
Tucker, my dog, absolutely loves these. He is approximately 50lbs and a super chewer! He plows through bully sticks, the thickest grades within a 1/2 hour at best. The thicker ones of these tails last usually a few days, so definitely less expensive in the long run. The sizes sometimes vary a lot within the package, but even the thin ones last a day.

Excellent product!
We had zero problems and we have 2 dogs who crunch these like a potato chip. They love them.
