FosPower4000 vs Raynic5000 - true comparison
This review will go over the pros and cons of the FosPower 4000 versus the Raynic 5000. Both are great units with a few key pros/cons for each that will determine which one you pick as your device. They cost virtually the same:First the Pros of the FosPower4000- Build quality is top notch - it just feels solid without being heavy at all- The dynamo for the hand charger secured nicely and is easily retreivable- The bright to dimmer flashlight options are excellent and more versatile- The carabiner that is included is top notch- Limited LIFETIME Warranty (wow!)- Rechargeable battery easily accessible for replacement if necessaryThe Cons of the FosPower4000 - implying 4000 mAh battery- Only 2 ways to charge it; USB and solar; USB cable included but no plug- The manual tuning dial buttons are not the best way to go when you need quick access to a Weather band- No headphone jack- 8 times out of 10 when I grabbed it, I accidentally hit the SOS button; no button-lock feature- Handcrank does not feel smooth when turnedNow for the Pros of the Raynic5000 - implying 5000mAh battery- Build quality if good but not as solid feeling as the FosPower- 4 (FOUR) ways to keep this one charged; USB, Solar, Handcrank and AAA batteries- Button-lock feature for no accidental pressing of SOS buttons- Regardless of the above line, the SOS button is out of the way, so even if not locked there is no chance of accidentally hitting it- Digital tuner - this is awesome for QUICKLY selecting the appropriate weather band- Backlit (can be turned off) Digital display for battery charge level, time, status of alerts- Smooth handcrank motionCons of the Raynic5000- 1 year Warranty in comparison to Full Lifetime Warranty of FosPower4000- Handcrank comes loose from cradle very easily and is a little irritating- Pathetic carabiner includedSo, which one did I pick? It was a difficult decision because they are both excellent units, however, I ended up picking the Raynic5000!Why? Well, because, while it was difficult to forego the top-notch build quality and lifetime warranty of the FosPower, the Raynic had all the features that make it worthy of purchase while not suffering too much from its build quality; which really isn't bad at all. It's just not as good as its competitor.

I loved it
Perfect for camping with the familyI bought this FosPower radio to be prepared for emergencies, but it turned out to be super useful when we went camping with my family. We used the flashlight at night, listened to music on the radio, and even charged our phones with the power bank. I loved that it has multiple charging options, so we never ran out of power. A very practical

Great Multi Use Emergency Tool!
This is excellent for emergency use and (my personal use) for when your power goes out. The FosPower comes with a built in radio, power bank, SOS button, USB port, charging Port, solar charging, hand crank for charging and a LED flashlight. The flashlight is very bright, I was impressed by the light alone. LED lights produce more light with less electricity so this flashlight is brighter and will last longer. The handle is easy to turn and makes a little bit of noise. When it comes to charging, it is not super fast but it is decent when you have no other source of electricity. If you have a problem with noise, say at night you do not want to wake anyone up or bother them. This can be a problem, however the noise it not excessive. it does get louder the faster you spin. The Fos has the ability to be charged via sun, however it does not charge fast. Especially if it is not direct sunlight (By your window, in a shaded area)After leaving the device by my window all day it only achieved 20% charge, and it was already near that charge level to begin with. It’s a decent feature but it does not compete with the hand crank.

Company/Product support
Small compact emergency radio purchased 2 years ago. Just recently (2 years later) unpackaged it to test the radios operation and capabilities. Nice looking unit and very durable but unfortunately it was discovered the AM portion of the radio did not work. Upon contacting FosPower customer service/support website, their customer service was incredible. The intent was simply reporting that the AM station did not work. The WB (Weather Band) and FM did work well along with all other features. Customer service immediately asked for my address to send me a replacement without having to send back the original. Could not ask for a more understand and helpful group of service representatives supporting a very good company. Highly recommend!
