The only thing wrong with this bromide/bromine is that it doesn't warn you that you have to shock your hot tub to activate this. As we are completely new to hot tubs, I put in too much which necessitated draining the tub (luckily, something we were planning on anyway). So a great product, but less than great instructions, because of the zero info on needing to shock to activate it.

We bought this for our hot tub. Works great for when you need a little extra boost. We normally keep the tablets in the tub, but sometimes need that boost. This dissolves quickly and doesn't settle on the bottom. We will be buying more when we get low.

The media could not be loaded. It's the proverbial 'I should have read the reviews before purchasing' situation. This product is completely useless. First, the product was completely solid inside the container. I had to dig it out with a butter knife, and it was still chunky instead of powdered. I put it in my spa along with bromine tablets and tested the water. No bromine registered on the test strips. So I dissolved the product in a small glass of water and tested that. Still negative for bromine. The test strips are good because they tested accurately for everything else. So obviously this product is bogus. Had to drain and refill my spa because it was so cloudy. I should have realized something was wrong when it was so much cheaper than other similar products. Returning for a refund. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a legitimate bromine product.

I bought this product and when I finally "got" around to open it, it was sort of chunky. It states 1% of it is "unknown*. I thought that that 1% meant a component that would prevent it from chunking up. If it is chunky, it means it could be old or some water "got" into it. Whether or not I did use it with water since then, I do not know. I have bought previous one's and they were very finely grained and not chunky. Anyways, I would be aware of any spa stuff that is chunky. Though that is not my sole purpose for this product. It was just a small quantity and I didn't want much. And not to mention the top of the bottle is very narrow.

I really don’t have a lot to say about this item. Other than it is the one we always use and I always have used since today we purchased our hot tub so with that being said it comes highly recommended we use it follow the instructions and our water is always balanced And made life easy
