EZARC Carbide Hole Saw Heavy Duty, Hole Cutter for Stainless Steel, Sheet Metal 1-3/8" 35mm

This is an awesome bit that delivers smooth, clean cutting at a great price. This bit cut through 18 gauge SS Sink for a RO System with ease. I used a cordless without any downward pressure other than the weight of drill, kept a spray bottle of water for constant mist and done in 7 minutes. Great results.

I bought this because I needed to cut 1 inch holes to fasten jhooks on my power rack. It cut through 2.5 x 2.5 inch steel tubing thats 11 guage steel like butter. I did use cutting oil with it to reduce the friction and heat. I cut about 8 holes using a cordless hand drill without issue. I did drill a small pilot hole which I recommend to make placement of the holes more accurate. Good product and I can see getting more usage down the road out of it.

Based on other reviews I purchased this EZARC Tungsten Carbide Teeth Hole Saw (Hole Cutter) Heavy Duty for Stainless Steel 2-1/8'' 54mm size to cut 4 holes in each of two 55 gallon steel drum to make two burn barrels. It was still sharp on the 8th hole and cut perfectly round holes in each of the 8 holes. Thought the price was a bit high, but it work very well. The hole cutter started to smoke on the 4th hole, so I applied oil and filed each of the previously cut holes to let the bit cool. On the remaining holes, I filed the hole after cutting to let the bit cool and I still got some smoking, but it was minimal. Would recommend this hole cutter for anyone looking to cut holes in steel.

Pilot bit is the only reason this didnt get 5 stars from me. Had to punch 12 19mm holes in 16ga stainless. First the bad, started out by drilling pilot holes to make it easier when changing to the tool. First hole and the pilot snapped off. Now for the good, after pulling the pilot and reshaping it on the grinder and drilling pilot holes out the size of the pilot on the tool this little tool went to work and took care of business. 12holes later and the teeth on the cutter look like new and it had performed admirably. Biggest thing to keep in mind, keep the speed slow and just enough pressure to let the cutter do the job without forcing it. Also, use a cutting fluid (I use rapid tap) when cutting a harder material. For the price I would definitely buy it again, but I would HIGHLY recommend drilling the initial hole out to the size of the pilot on the cutter and then just using it as a centering pin, rather than depending on it to cut the pilot hole in harder materials.

Trick is not to go balls out when drilling with these. If you are chattering, your going to slow. Go just above the chattering and it cuts good and will last a long time.

I used this hole saw to drill a single hole in an 18GA stainless steel drain pan. It worked perfectly; I center punched the spot and drilled with a DeWalt cordless. The hole saw made easy work of the job, the finished hole was clean with very little burring.

Cut 11 heavy washers out of 316SS plate. Hole saw seemed as sharp on washer 11 as it was on washer 1. Wish the packaging was a little better.

pour faire des trous dans de l'aluminium de 3 mm d'épaisseur,résultat parfais .Avec d'autres marques (que je posséde aussi)au bout de 5 trou j'avais déja cassé un carbure ,la avec ERZARC(marque que je ne connaissé pas)aucun carbure n'a cassé au bout de 24 trous,je crois que s'est parce les carbures sont un peut plus fin il attaque moins de métal et il sont aussi plus solide.Résultat un travail parfait et prés pour un autre travail.je recommande vivement cette marque.
