A good-looking, nice feeling cable that I have mixed feelings about, and agonized about whether or not to keep.FOR:The cable and plugs are robust and attractive and feel good to use. The LED provides genuinely useful feedback for whether you've plugged the cable in correctly, as well as whether fast charge is working. The reversible plugs mean you don't have to think about which way round the cable goes...AGAINST:...except, half the time the reversible plug will only fit the socket a certain way anyway, so you have to fiddle around trying to get it in properly before giving up and flipping it around. On the big USB A end it's a mild inconvenience (since, unlike a regular USB cable, there is no obvious 'right' way it costs you a few moments figuring out which way round will work best). On the Micro B side it's more annoying as some devices won't charge properly with the cable in one orientation so you have to wait and see what colour the status light turns (it always cycles through all three colours twice before settling) before unplugging and flipping.The light itself has been as much a frustration as a help. Perhaps I shouldn't have expected it to be usable in a dark bedroom at night but I was surprised how bright the LED actually is - I suppose so it'll show clearly in daylight. At night the 'breathing' effect is far more disturbing than a simple steady light, and the green charge complete light doesn't always go off when the device finishes charging. My first night trying this with a Galaxy S5, the phone would finish charging, the LED would go green, then the phone screen would turn on (as is usual when it finishes charging), and then the LED would go red again (and the phone's screen would turn back on to indicate charging had begun), then green again, then the screen would turn on again... in the end, the phone's screen was on more or less continuously half the night, which really disturbed my wife (who usually has no trouble at all falling and staying asleep!).The rest of the time with the S5 and other devices have mostly been OK - mostly. There's just a little inconsistency about whether the green light will turn itself off or whether it'll endlessly cycle between red/blue and green.VERDICTIf it's mostly being used during the day, or the bedroom doesn't get super dark at night, or you're simply not bothered by little lights while trying to sleep, this is a genuinely cool little cable that feels really high quality and provides great at-a-glance feedback for your charge status. Plus, it might make it easier to plug in your device thanks to the reversible plug. Or, well - it might not. If you're like us, this inconsistency, plus the surprisingly bright, disturbingly-pulsing light at night which may or may not keep coming back on, might make it not worth the cost and the bother. Also YMMV with regard to whether you think it's cool and useful or just a bit gimmicky.Ultimately, we returned ours and went for a more boring, non-lit Anker cable.

I purchased the 3' version of this cable which arrived very quickly. Being reversible at each end makes it a joy to use because, like most people, when plugging in a USB cable, most times I tried the wrong way round first time. That has now been consigned to the history books. The different colour LED lighting at the micro side of the cable is extremely handy for indicating as to whether a device has been fully charged or is still charging. All in all, a great cable.

Good solid cable but the micro USB end can be a bit short for some slightly restricted access ports such as my rechargeable torch and shaver. The coloured plastic collar means that there is sometimes not enough length for awkward charging ports.

Very cool, I love the light. When it's fast charging it will flash blue and when it's normal charging it will flash red. Green it's when it finished the whole charging.

All leads should have the light system fantastic

A very nice piece of kit. I like the light on the micro USB plug that tells you how the charge is going. All in all I would recommend this to anyone.

Needed an extra charging cable for my samsung smartphone. This does the job and is very sturdily made
