Country Life Omega 3 Mood, 2000mg Fish Oil with EPA & DHA, 90 Softgels, Certified Gluten Free

I've used Omega 3 Mood along with Nature's Way Alive! (no iron added), 90 Tablets, and had great results in managing my depression and anxiety. This product is also great as an anti-inflammatory agent for anyone who spends a lot of time in the gym. The price and the quality are the best compared to similar products. On Amazon these are $10.83 for 90 softgels, as opposed to $20-25 in the store.I bought these after researching the benefits of Omega 3 oil on mood and after reading "The Chemistry of Joy", and found that scientific data supports that the optimum EPA to DHA ratio is 7:1, which is what this product has (1000mg EPA and 150mg DHA). If the suggested dose does not produce the relief desired, I recommend doubling the dose (taking 4 capsules per day--2 in the morning and two at night). There are studies that suggest that taking 4 grams of EPA over several weeks can significantly relieve depressive symptoms, especially for severe depression. I also took Nature's Bounty Natural 5-HTP/L-5-Hydroxytryptophan, 100mg, 60 Capsules, and it has been very helpful with relieving stress.The great thing about this product is that it contains only Omega 3, which is anti-inflammatory. Inflammation is believed to contribute to depression and many heart-related diseases. Due to our great consumption of corn-based products, American diet is excessively rich in Omega 6 (which promotes inflammation), thereby drastically altering the optimum Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio. Therefore, Omega 3 supplement is needed to compensate for that difference. I suggest taking it with food, otherwise you might get "fishy" burps, although the taste is tolerable. Some here mentioned that they have trouble swallowing these slightly large softgels, and for that I suggest swallowing these with nodding your head down.In summary, I would highly recommend this product to anyone wishing to relieve stress, depression, and anxiety, as well as to improve their overall health.

I started taking these about 10 years ago (when I was 50) I had just quit smoking and decided to take better care of myself. I learned of the importance of Omega 3 and because I have anxiety, my sister suggested Omega 3 Mood. I started taking 2 gel caps in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 2 at bedtime.After being on them for a few months, I had to go to the dentist. He was training students, so one student went by the book and had me list what meds I was on and checked my blood pressure. He couldn't believe how perfect my pressure was, so he tested me again. He then had another student come in and test me. Again, the student said he couldn't believe how perfect my BP was! They called in a third student.....getting the same results. Then, they called in the dentist to test me. The dentist tested me and said it was unbelievably perfect. He asked me if I exercise and I said, "Yes......I exercise my right to sit on my a$$" (lol)The dentist looked at my chart again and said, "Are these all the meds you're taking?" And I said, "Well......those are the prescriptions I'm taking, but I didn't think Omega 3 Mood was necessary to list. So.......I can only attribute the perfect bp to Omega 3 Mood. I have slacked off over the past few years and when I ran out.....I didn't buy more. I just recently decided it's time hubby and I get back to it. (I am by no way saying you should take 6 per day......I'm just telling you that I was taking 6 per day. I'm now only taking 2 in the morning, mainly because of economics)

I love this product. It literally saved my life years ago. I was very depressed, I had no joy or hope for the future. Within a week of taking this product, I began to feel much better. I had to take it every day for about a year (that's how depressed I was). I would try to stop using it for a short time and the depression would seep back in. So, I would start using it again and I was fine. My belief is that my body was so deficient that it required me to keep using it. After about a year, I completely stopped using it, I didn't want to bother going to the store. I just forgot about it after a few days and life was good. Years passed and the old feelings of depression showed up again. I didn't wait, I rushed to the store. Took all of a couple of days and I felt better again! I now just use it on a daily basis & get it on Amazon. No signs of depression at all....life is great even during the pandemic.

After about 2 and half months I can state the following, leaves fishy taste in my mouth, feel less reactive- not necessarily less anxious which is what I use it for. Has given me much better energy. Do not feel like sleeping as much as I used. Improvement in eye vision as well. I was taking three a day but cut down to two because of the price. A little on the pricey side.Update: stop taking for a few weeks because of the price but when I got back on it, it is evident that at the right dosage these pills are the real deal for mood.
