It's been a month and I'm happy with it.
Pros: ● self watering comes very handy.● Sleek design and looks very expensive.● Two compartments.● water indicater works and it is useful.● My plants looks happy.Cons: Really heavy once you put the soil and it gets havier after watering. I doubt a wall shelf or floating shelf will hold this. It needs a steady strong shelf.Overall: I am happy and found the perfect place to put it. Need to buy another one but waiting for the price to drop a but as its really expensive.

Absolutely perfect!
Firstly, I have previously bought a self-watering planter from Lechuza in a smaller size which I really loved, and therefore I decided to come back to the same brand, but for a larger planter as I wanted to plant more herbs! In the smaller planter I planted 3 herbs (coriander, basil, and parsley) but it was too small, and so the coriander died off, so lesson learned for this one!I've attached photos, and as you can see, I have 3 in the first trough, 2 in the second (the coriander was very sickly when it first arrived from the supermarket so I wanted it to have loads of space to recover!) and then my mint on its own in the smaller planter so that I can easily plant it in the garden when it has grown some more.Setting up the planters is very simple - they come with gravel to help with the drainage, and you put that straight in the bottom. I was pleased to see that there was less gravel than in the smaller planter, as with that one if you used all the rocks they gave you, you had no room to put a plant in! Bedding the plants in is simple, I made sure to put a layer of soil/compost down and then placed the plants in and surrounded them with more soil. You must remember to give your plants a chance to put down roots before you start trying to use the "self-watering" part of this planter. Until your plants' roots have reached through to the bottom, they will not be able to drink the water from under the troughs, so until then you must water the soil itself.Overall, I think these are aesthetically pleasing, very easy to use (although lifting the trough off a flat surface is quite difficult, so perhaps get it to where you want it before you start filling it up!), and do their job well. I have plans to expand my "herb garden" so I'll be looking to get some more then!(This is the smaller planter I've been referring to Lechuza Premiuim Delta 10 30cm Wide, High Gloss White Self Watering Houseplant & Herb Windowsill Planter Trough )Happy planting!(I'm sorry about the photos, no matter what browser I use, they will not upload in the correct orientation!)

Slightly expensive but good quality and attractive
Very good quality German made planter with a double skin, so the plants sit in an internal basket with sits above a water reservoir. There is some slight bowing when painted, but the rigidity and strength are good, and the colour and finish are attractive. The water reservoir has an overflow that can be opened for outdoor use so that they don't get waterlogged, and the water level guage and capped hole to refill them is useful. Be aware that brackets to fit them to railings are an optional extra and not included. I particularly liked the colour and smooth finish, which in my opinion looks better than other brands (which often have a fake rattan finish which I dislike).

Impressive and sleek
The photos do not do this planter trough justice. It's well made and designed, easy to use as a stand alone or as a supported window box. It has a tank at the bottom for water and an easy to use water spout at the each end of the trough. Nice round corners and a good colour (grey). Well packaged. Recommend.

Really useful
Arrived undamaged. Love the colour and seems to be of good construction. I have four decent sized herb plants in it now and they seem to be doing well, though I have not yet switched to automated watering. My only criticism is that it could probably do with more substrate. There was an adequate amount for the job but the deep wells that are intended to act as wicks for the water container use most of the substrate so there was only enough left to cover about 2mm of the base. I will certainly be ordering some more though! I am fairly good with plants but I often find that my wife waters our indoor plants just after I have already done it so I'm hoping this solution will help prevent over watering.

Great product
Purchased to replace one I dropped and it cracked! Look great on my outdoor windowsills and they really are self watering, keeping the plants hydrated.

Great for Orchids
Bought these for my orchards. I have a collection of phalaenopsis orchids and it can be a pain to water them all. I purchased two of these and planted them into the PON substrate. Two months on, they are doing great and some have started to send out flower spikes.Quality product. I have it on a window sill. One next to the other. They are well made. There are two plastic inserts with handles into which you plant the plants. So you can light one out at a time to move them. The water indicator shows you when they need watering. I find they take about three litres of water from the low mark.
