Excellent and efficient for covering grays
I’ve been using the Clairol Temporary Root Touch-Up Powder to cover my grays, and I’m very impressed. It’s quick and easy to apply, and the powder blends seamlessly with my hair color. It gives my roots a natural look, and it lasts throughout the day without smudging. The application is mess-free, and I love that it doesn’t weigh my hair down. This product is a game-changer for me on days when I need a quick fix for my grays. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an efficient solution!

Excellent product!
I love this stuff! I am shocked and amazed at how good the coverage is and how easy it is to apply. It's a lifesaver when I can't get to the hair. Colorist. It does an excellent job covering grays and blending in with my natural hair color. I am very happy I have found this product!

Messy, careful as it wants to stain the bathroom sink
Messy when using the brush but it does cover relatively well. I got light brown and my hairdresser said my color is medium brown, but the light brown works well, without looking fake. Stays fairly well where you put the color but if you scratch your head, it will show on your fingernails. I have used the sprays before and maybe I got to close to my head with the spray, but it made my part look like a rats nest. The spray was hard to come thru. The powder is much better to use, for me, when I am combing my hair. All in all, this is not bad for the $ but I may look for another powder that is not as messy.

Very pleased with performance and price
This product is much more natural than hair powder which seemed to sit conspicuously on my scalp. It’s a very good match for my dark brown hair. I simply apply it with the included brush to places on my scalp that I feel I need coverage. It has an eye shadow consistency that can be blended. I wish I had more hair and that it was thicker but this is an inexpensive solution to covering thin spots on scalp. Definitely a confidence booster. I have asked friends if they can see the product on my scalp and they say no. I feel like it lasts until you wash your scalp.

best root cover for black hair
I have medium brown hair that's dyed black and use this between color visits. I prefer this root cover over others on the market, including the very similar and more expensive version of this product from Sephora. It's much cleaner and easier to use than spray root covers, which are generally a huge mess for black hair. The powder has a VERY light sparkle to it, making it slightly reflective, which I think helps add dimension and looks natural. I experience very little powder fall out on my face/clothes when applying and it barely (if at all) transfers to hands, pillows, etc. I wear over the ear headphones for 6-8 hours a day and haven't noticed any rub off on the headphones, which sit directly on the top of my head, where I heavily apply this product. I try to only wash my hair 1-2 times a week and I've noticed once I apply the product to clean hair, it sticks around for a few days with only minor touchups needed each day before I shower. While I can't attest for whether or not this works on grays, I can say that I recently developed my first gray hair :( and this stuff helps me forget about it until my next wash! Also works great to cover white residue from dry shampoo, which I use a LOT of.

Mediocre
I bought the dark brown color for covering the gray roots along my part. Although the color in the pallet appears very dark, it does not go on as dark. It does not cover very well, but provides more of a blended appearance so that the grays are not as stark in contrast to the rest of your hair. It does not cover nearly as well as spray, but it also does not leave a hard residue like spray does. I put my glasses on top of my head and back on again throughout the day and I have not had any issues with color transferring to my face like I have when using spray. It should last longer than a spray product, and you don’t have to worry about getting it on your scalp, which can look weird with spray. Those are the main advantages I can think of with this product. It also washes out easily, and you will not see any dark mess in the shower.

Great product, would recommend
I have tried several root touch ups and this has been the best. There is a little learning curve when you get it, but basically I use a magnified mirror to get a good look and start light and add touch up. I have some thinner areas on my temples and brush it in a little there too. It also kind of acts like dry shampoo. The color stays until next wash. Great product.

Game Changer
I was surprised at how well this product covers my resistant grays and doesn't wear off until I shampoo. Easy to use, covers thinning hair and grays well and blends easily. My new go-to product between coloring.
