Produces Great Tea, Well Packaged
Quality of brewed tea is excellent. Taste is good, nothing seems odd about it. Smell of brewed tea as well as unbrewed tea leaves is good and strong. Packaging was fantastic: sealed plastic bag inside of the nice aesthetically pleasing tin, which was sealed with heat shrink plastic around its lid to prevent and or show evidence of tampering.Overall I find that green tea, especially this large loose leaf tea, can be re-steeped several times, allowing you to stretch the use you get out of a single quantity. This plus the price for this overall bulk quantity makes this a good value purchase.Another benefit of green tea that I often find is that it seems to give the benefits of caffeine, the wakefulness and alertness, while not causing the anxious feelings I sometimes get from drinking other caffeinated beverages such as coffee. Highly recommend if you are interested in the benefits of caffeine without the negative side effects.

This is an ideal cut for use as "Snus" - a tobacco substitute.
In fact I haven't even had a cup of this yet - I have plenty of tea bags of high quality tea. It smells good and looks perfect - naturally (not toasted) dark green in an ideal cut that isn't dusty. Has a few small twigs. And - major new idea - it's very good just to suck on "a pinch" (about a teaspoonful) like a regular native. It's not messy. Doesn't taste bad - interesting flavors actually, and a constant stream of that ideal type of caffeine and polyphenols. It's possible to drink around it but not possible to eat around it. I wouldn't expect office bound YUMPIES would try this. They have plenty of time to fill their mug. But if you don't have time and need some caffeine for the day - keep some of this in a suitable bag in your tool box~!LOVE THAT TIN and it's really big! You'll be surprised. Good for - stuff - cookies!!

Great tea!
I am generally not a hot tea drinker but got this for a Valentine's Day tea I was serving for myself and best friend. It's wonderful! Fragrant and really delicious. So... instead of drinking hot tea only when sick, I've been doing a little tea ritual every Sunday. Not the full experience with a tiered tray and little sandwiches like I did for Valentine's Day, but a scone with jam and sometimes clotted cream with a nice cup of this lovely stuff in a nice teapot and cup.

Good tea, but one drawback.
One of the better loose leaf green tea. Good price for a 17 oz batch. Come with a nice tin can. Can use it for misc storage of cookies, candy or sugar. Has a nice and strong aroma upon opening the sealed bag inside; a hint of sweet smell. After brewing, it has a taste with hint of miso soup. Not too bad at all. The loose leaves are bigger which make it a lot easier to clean the strainer.Only drawback I have is there are always some tiny flakes/particles settling at the bottom of the cup after every brewing/steeping. It doesn't float, but just there settling at the bottom of the cup. Won't get to it until you get to that bottom portion of the cup. It is a drawback for me because I like my cup of tea to be clean and clear of those tiny flakes (or at least very minimal.) Kind of looks like dirt in a way. There aren't that many flakes to warrant tossing the entire batch in the tin container; but enough to irk me not to be a repeat customer. I have tossed an entire 16 oz batch of another popular brand because it just have too much of those tiny flakes floating around in the cup.Other than that, it is a good tea. However, if there were no or very minimal flakes at the bottom of every brewed cup, this would have been a 5-star tea for me and a repeated customer. In contrast, my usual Numi Organic Jasmine green tea tends to have no or very minimal flakes. Hence, I'm still sticking to said brand as a regular and repeated customer. It is just a bit more expensive than this Hyleys brand.

Excellent tea great for the price
This tea is great very flavorful and you only need a little bit to make a nice big cup of tea. I use about a teaspoonful and I make a nice 20 ounce mug of tea and it’s a nice amount in the tin for the price you can’t go wrong highly recommended !

Hyleys Big Leaf Tea
“This is a lot of tea for the price and it’s whole leaf tea. Exactly what I was looking for. It also tastes really good!”Yes, that was my first review because I did receive 6 large tins of tea for one low price. When I ordered again I only received 1 tin for the same price even though the description said 6. Amazon refunded my money and let me keep the tin. Against my better judgment I ordered it again, thinking surely the problem had been corrected. Once again I received only one tin of tea. Amazon again refunded my money and let me keep the tea. Amazon was really amazing taking care of my problem but I can’t believe they haven’t stopped this seller from cheating customers.

Good tea
The tea itself is good nice large leaves if you like a citrus flavor.. I didn’t notice it had that. It’s tasty but I am not a citrus fan just like my tea plain. This has dried lemon peel in it.
