High Quality DSO
Most of my usage for oscilloscopes is audio work and that is my primary interest, signals in the 20Hz to 100KHz range. I have tried several 8-bit scopes already, and even the ones in the four hundred dollar range do not lend themselves to serious audio work.Sampling rate and bandwidth does not make up for the resolution (bit rate) one needs to analyze square wave response for example. This scope is the best of both worlds though, and you can adjust the bit rare between 8 and 12-bits. Granted the sampling frequency will be lower in 12-mode, and it lowers to 500Mps for one Channel use and 250Mps for two Channel use, but you do not need that for the usual audio anyhow. The noise floor is a lot lower than anything I have tried before. The build quality stand FAR above the two to three hundred dollar units. The screen is large with better than average resolution, and I have found the interface ratber easy to learn. I was doing every I usually do in 15 minutes with a few glances at the manual although I have been using oscilloscopes for 30 years. So far I really like this DSO. I never thought I could get a 12-bit scope in this price range.
